Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions we have received from pet owners and previous clients. Whether you’re wondering what a typical day for your pet is while you’re away, or you’re curious whether your pet will be exposed to other animals, I’m happy to address any questions and concerns you may have.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CONTACT YOU?
Email is definately the best method to get in touch with us. We are generally very busy taking care of the dogs and two young kids so by sending an email it gives us time (typically less than 24 hours) to get back to you with a detailed answer to your question.
Furthermore it gives us a written record of correspondence for quick reference at any point in throughout our dealings with many new customers.
We are of course available by phone when necessary but certainly like to keep in touch by email when possible.
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE WAITING TIME TO GET A PUPPY?
We operate a strict waiting list. To join the waiting list we require a completed reservation form and deposit of 300 euro. Our average waiting time is generally 2 years however a lot is based on Mother Nature, sometimes moving quicker, sometimes slower. There is a certain element of fluidity in the list in that people ahead may choose to defer to a later litter or a litter may be later or smaller than expected. What we can assure is that once you go on the waiting list we respect your place entirely .
CAN WE VISIT YOUR HOME AND SEE THE PUPPIES?
We are living in Dublin in our family home. We have two young children as well as several of these valuable and special dogs. We receive a lot of interest in our dogs of course, and while we would love to entertain everyone we simply are unable to host every family that show interest. It is not fair on our children or our dogs. As a result as health measure and safety precaution our home is not open to the general public for visits.
We do of course allow and encourage clients and families who have joined our waiting list to visit us at a convienient time. This allows a face to face meeting as well as allows our clients to see where the puppies are born and are raised for their first 2 months. Of course our adult dogs are also living with us and it’s a great opportunity to meet Luna and Everest during this visit.
The well-being of our litter is our main priority. It is easy for someone to accidentally expose our puppies to deadly diseases, such as parvovirus, which is detrimental to young growing pups. All visitations are by pre-scheduled appointment only. Once puppies are born you will receive a comprehensive weekly update. This will include photos, videos and other information as the weeks pass by. Approaching 6 weeks of age all families will be invited to meet the litter and spend some time with puppies and adult dogs.
HOW DO I RESERVE A PUPPY FROM AN UPCOMING LITTER?
We would ask you for a 300 euro deposit. This is a non refundable deposit unless for some instance we can not provide you with a puppy. If this was to happen we are happy to transfer your deposit forward into the future for the next litter or a litter that suits you best. Preferences will be taken for colour/sex but the less specific you are the better the chance to get a puppy.
ARE YOUR DOGS ALLERGY FRIENDLY AND NON-SHEDDING?
We are breeding 100% pure Australian Labradoodles (Australian Service Dogs) and as such they have a 98% success rate with allergy and asthma sufferers because they have non-shedding fleece and wool coats. Realistically no dog will be 100% non shedding however we can say with confidence our adult dogs and puppies enjoy a minimal amount of shedding. There will be a small element of shedding as the coat changes from puppy to adult coat.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MALE AND FEMALE?
There is very little difference in temperament etc between male and female dogs. Males will typically be a bit taller and are generally of a 'stockier' build.
HOW ARE YOUR PUPPIES SOCIALISED?
Our pups are born in our family home with all the noise and hustle and bustle that goes along with a young family. We have 2 young children so the puppies are all well used to being handled and played with. Once the puppies mature we begin basic training such as learning to walk on a lead, toilet training etc.

The prices we charge reflect the quality of the puppies we produce and the level of service and support that we offer to our clients for the lifetime of their Australian Labradoodle. We only breed from the dogs that have undergone extensive health testing to ensure the puppies are free from any disease or defects. We pride ourself in going above and beyond for each and every puppy and new family we deal with and will be available for any follow up questions and advice around the clock in the initial weeks when the puppy goes home.
WHY IS IT A REQUIREMENT THAT THE PUPPIES ARE DESEXED BEFORE 1 YEAR OF AGE?
The various associations worldwide believes strongly in the benefits of Early Spay and Neuter (ES&N) for the Australian Labradoodle Breed. It is therefore one of the requirements in our Breeders Code of Ethics.
ES&N has been done with the Australian Labradoodle worldwide since the creation of the breed.
Spaying & Neutering not only protects the buyer from an unwanted litter and your puppy of possible cancers related to dogs being left entire but it is also a way to protect the development of the Australian Labradoodle breed for future generations to enjoy. 'Puppy farms' are prevalent today and it is one of our biggest fear's that one of our dogs could possibly end up here.
Our puppies leave our home at 8-9 weeks of age 'entire'. All of our new puppy owners are legally contracted to have their puppy spayed/neutered before the puppy reaches 9 months of age and provide proof thereof to us. This is a non-negotiable term of sale. DO YOU OFFER ANY GUARANTEE?
We offer a 2 year genetic health guarantee. In simple terms what this means is that if within 2 years from birth the dog is diagnosed with life inhibiting genetic defects (with the exception of hip and elbow dysplasia) rendering the puppy to be unsuitable as a pet, upon receipt by the breeder of written confirmation of this by two independent veterinarians, one to be of the buyer’s choosing and one to be of the breeder’s choosing, all at the buyers expense, the buyer will have the following options:-
In the event that the buyer choose to keep puppy, breeder will refund 50% of the pet price originally paid for the puppy excluding any veterinary bills, shipping or travel costs.
The buyer shall have the right to return the puppy to the breeder and relinquish ownership of the same on the understanding that the breeder will provide a replacement puppy to the buyer as soon as reasonable practicable. The buyer shall be liable for any shipping or miscellaneous charges associated with the replacement puppy. The breeder agrees to re-home the returned puppy.
WHAT KIND OF TRAINING DOES A NEW PUPPY REQUIRE?
Puppies under 1 year old should have restricted time on the lead. Jogging for miles or going on very long walks on the lead forces the puppy to perform the same mechanical movement at the same pace for long periods of time. This is not natural for puppies. Puppies are used to changing pace frequently, galloping one minute and then trotting the next. If puppies are forced to maintain a pace for a long time, it can damage ligaments and immature joints. Playing outside and short periods on a lead will provide puppy a safe amount of exercise.
General advice is to add 5 minutes per month of age so for example a 3 month old puppy could manage 10-15 mins walk, 4 months 20 mins etc. It is always more beneficial for puppies to play fetch, chase a frisbee etc at a young age as opposed to long walks on the lead at a constant pace as mentioned above.
Running up and down stairs, jumping off high places, slipping and sliding on polished floors, and standing on just their back legs can cause damage to a young puppy’s joints. Puppies should not be allowed to do any of the above. Failure to observe these things can induce hip dysplasia and other joint problems even in a healthy puppy.
CAN YOU ARRANGE TRANSPORT/DELIVERY IN IRELAND AND ABROAD?
We can arrange delivery to any area in Ireland for a small additional fee.
For international customers we have extensive experience with the export of dogs from Ireland and can certainly arrange for your new puppy to go overseas within the EU or indeed further afield.
The mandatory Pet Passport as well as additional health checks and vaccinations can be arranged at an extra fee.
